March of the Pomeranians, A Parade of Pets- A delightful way to introduce folks to the Pomeranian regional culture through the wonderful breed of dogs that originated from the area.  The parade of pets will include some pets and owners dressed in a cultural costume of their choice. The Competitiors will be awarded $100 for best costume, most authentic cultural Costume (any Culture), and most similar in appearance: owner and pet. 

Adult and youth categories--$100 prize in each category

Event in part supports the Winona Humane Society!

This event will be held on March 27th, 2021 @noon at Sobieski Park.

Dyngus Day—(Wet Monday) a celebration of Smigus-Dyngus, a ritual where folks show their friendship and mischievous community fun by dousing friends they like with water.  This event will feature water pistols & water balloon fights, Paint Ball Art, Coloring competitions, food and of course WATER.  

Have fun pranking loved ones with water balloons.   

Winner's of coloring contest will win prizes!!

This event in part supports the Winona Public Library!

This event will be held on Monday April 5th, 2021 at Sobieski Park Lodge @noon.

Jeny Kochany (Oh, My Gosh) Festival- a day-long celebration of all things Kashubian with a Live@the Levee concert featuring a Polka Battle of the Bands.  There will be a  Polka dance off, dance lessons from the Dolina Dancers in Kashubian Style, food trucks and vendors.  Polish art will also be celebrated with an American flair; Pisanki (traditional egg decoration) Workshop offered by a local artist re-interpreting this ancient art.

$100 prize to the last team standing in the Polka Dance off!  Think you have what it takes to be the last team dancing? 

This event will be held on Saturday May 29th, 2021 @Noon.

 

Banquet in the Street-Kashubian Style-A meal in the street featuring community members sharing favorite cultural dishes, or other family and fan favorites.  Tables will be set up along the street and folks will be invited to participate in one of the largest Pot-Luck dinners celebrating Kashubian and Polish food.   Six dishes will be prepared by a Polish Chef Marzena Wnuk-Lupinska, visiting us from Bytow Poland.  

Music and dancing will follow.

This event will be held on Wednesday June 18th, 2021 @5:30 on Center Street between 3rd and 5th!

J.R.-Watkins-Bake-Off-with-Watkins-Logo.

Watkins Bake Off - the launching of a new annual tradition: a regional bake off and food competition.  This 2020 year will feature special awards for Polish cuisine in each area in addition to the primary categories of Best Bake, Best Dessert, Best Bread. The only requirements will be one Watkins ingredient must be included in the recipe.  

This day will also feature a Bloedow's Donut Eating Competition Both events will be held on September 26th, 2021!

Bay-State--Souporama-Logo-with-cup-soup_

Bay State Soup-O-Rama- a feast for soup lovers: contestants will compete for Best Soup Hot, Best Soup Chilled, Most Forkable.  In this special 2020 year, Best Traditional Polish Recipe will be awarded.  The only requirements will be for the Soup-O-Rama is that the soup will be served in a Bay State Bread bowl provided to each contestant. 

This event will be held on September, 2021.

The Bloedow's Donut Eating Contest will feature an individual competition and a corporate contest.  How many donuts can you eat in 6 minutes?  Does your company have a 'great eater'?  

Who does not want to eat Bloedows donuts?  Joins us at the Levee for the best donut in MN September 2021!

Smazcne Jablka—This traditional Apple Fest is complete with live music and an auction of Polish gifts and crafts. Tours of the Polish Museum will be available for all to take a part in, and there will be Polish Food offerings. 

The Apple Fest will be held on Sunday October, 2021 @noon 

KCC 2020 will feature a series of workshops on the history, culture and art and cuisine of the Kashubian people of Poland.    

The Workshops: 

The Polish Table (Cuisine),Haft (Embroidary), Genealogy, and Wycinanki (Paper Cutting), Pisanki (egg decorating).

Holiday Market and Cookie Exchange

This Event will feature artisan vendors, holiday music, baked goods, ornaments, ice skating and more.

There will be food and beverages featuring Hot cocoa, mulled wine, and a Hot polish Toddy!  The Levee Park Ice rink will return and be open throughout the winter--remember bring your own skates.
